On Twitter, Gurus Dont Say “I Dont Know” Or “I’ll Have To Do Some Research On It 1st”
Newsflash. on twitter, gurus dont say “i dont know” or “i ll have to do some research on it 1st”. that’s bad for business. Instead they’ll say “it doesnt work”. Conclusion, if someone tells u an indicator doesnt work but cant show u the data PROVING that, tell em to STFU !!
I’ve heard it all over the years.
Ppl who cant read the tape but are first to tell u “tape reading is useless”.
ppl who cant analyze filings but are 1st to tell u “fundamentals dont work”
ppl who have no clue how to use vwap or Moving avgs but will tell u “they dont work” etc
There are hundreds of PROFITABLE strategies & indicators out there, each with different trading expectancies & winrates, yet those “expert” clowns have somehow backtested EVERY single one of them enough to have an opinion on them, right? the arrogance in this place blows my mind
That’s why my advice to new traders is always BACKTEST EVERYTHING. Dont believe something just because I or some clown tells u so. you’ll just end up copying & pasting their ignorance into your arsenal. Absorb info, but filter it with data. Numbers never lie.
